The fishing both offshore and inshore here in the Naples and Marco island area this week has been hot! 3/4 day Deep sea fishing with light tackle spinning gear off Naples produced some nice catches of both red grouper and lane snapper for the dinner table. Backwater and nearshore fishing was also very productive in and around Naples,  and proved to be a rewarding experience for Keith from Kansas City, with his first ever catches of both snook and redfish! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far! Hard to believe it is the middle of July already! This past week on the Cuda 2 was a fun one! Ran a few charters out of Naples Bay, and did some shelling on Keywaden Island this week. We got out on our morning charters dodging the heat of the day as well as the showers! It’s been a hot one this past week, and so has the fishing offshore in Naples! We ran multiple offshore trips as well as a few nearshore inland trips. Had a beautiful sunset trip as well this week! It was a pleasure seeing some repeat summer customers, as well as some new ones. Catches produced plenty of action, hooking up with multiple sharks is always exciting, along with a few we never gained sight of! Nearshore/inland fishing off Naples beaches, we were able to produce some nice catches of both whiting and sea trout for some delicious fish tacos, and we also caught a few snook along with some decent mangrove snapper to finish out the week. Get out early and beat the heat and you have a good shot at some nice summertime fishing. Happy Independence Day to all!

This week has seen some great fishing here in Naples. We did a little offshore fishing as well as working Naples bay and the beaches for trout, snook, and reds. Getting out on the water this past week has been absolutely beautiful. We have seen both dolphins and manatees along the beach from the Naples pier down to Keywaden Island. Fishing has produced nice catches of trout, whiting, and sheepshead along with a few snook sight fished in the surf! On our most recent offshore 1/2 day we have produced some nice catches of both spanish mackerel and lane snapper! Fun times on the water this past week! I got a call from a long-time customer that wanted to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air and enjoy a trip sightseeing down to Cape Romano. No matter how many times I run from Naples down through Marco Island and Goodland, I am always in awe of what a beautiful place we live! Well it has certainly been a challenging time for everyone on land but we have been able to get out on the water, where it is certainly easier to socially distance. We are still open for business as we do not mix parties together on any of our charters. We also have plenty of room for proper social distancing on either vessel. Well, we have finally had a week of some beautiful weather here in Naples, and the fishing has been fantastic. After a pretty cold and windy start to March, this past week was a welcome change. The fish have been very active in the back and offshore this week. Nice catches are being produced nearshore and offshore. Plenty of trout, sheepshead, snook, mangrove snapper being caught in the nearshore and backwater. Offshore this week has seen some nice catches of bonita, king mackerel, spanish mackerel, lane snapper, and even a couple sharks. We do have some openings for ½ days available towards the end of the month so if you are looking to do some fishing in the Naples area, give us a call, and let's get you out on the water!

This past week was a fun one, fishing both offshore and in the backwater of Naples! We had multiple trips with nice catches of both king mackerel, spanish mackerel, and false albacore. Another trip this past week produced a beautiful catch and release amberjack that will be mounted for the customer by Gray Taxidermy. Can’t wait to see this fish mounted, Gray Taxidermy never disappoints. In the backwaters of Naples, we have been catching some whiting, sea trout, sheepshead, and redfish. We have a cold front headed for us this Thursday, but we will still be putting smiles on faces with bent rods in the backwater. As of now, we have a couple of half-day spots to fill in for the first week of March, so give us a shout and let us get you out on the water!

Last week was a challenging one on the water! Between high winds offshore and extremely low tides inshore, we had our work cut out for us, but we still managed some fun on the water. Offshore we were able to pull on some grouper, snapper, and kingfish. In the backwater we had some nice catches with trout, whiting, sheepshead and a few snook. Looking forward to some calmer winds and warmer temps this week so it should be a great week fishing in Naples!
