The past week here in Naples has been a busy one. I always enjoy this time of year as many of my repeat clients are in town and love to go fishing so we get to do a little catching up and get some fish for dinner while they are here. Many of our half days this past week were spent going after some kingfish, spanish mackerel, and bonita offshore in Naples. On our offshore trips we also spent some time bottom fishing catching some snapper as well. Lane snapper is currently closed until January 1st so it will be nice for my clients to be able to put those on the dinner plate again in a couple of days. In the backwater the bite in Naples has been great with snook, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, and trout all caught this past week. Hard to believe it will be a new year in a couple of days. Its been a great year with some great clients and we want to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year!

Even though the weather has been less than favorable this past week, we were able to run a couple trips offshore last week in Naples and caught some Kingfish and snapper. We are also seeing good action in the backwater in Naples with some Sheepshead, Trout, Redfish, Bluefish, Ladyfish, and Snook. Looking forward to the rest of this week bringing us some better weather conditions and enjoying some time out on the water. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
Capt. Mike Klein Fun times fishing with families in the backwater of Naples Bay this week. It’s always a pleasure watching a kid cast a line , hook a fish and bring it in all on their own! FWC this week has also came out with new regulations for spotted sea trout that will go into effect starting February 1st 2020 to ensure these fish are around for generations to come!
Capt Mike Naples, Florida Fishing Charters It was a great week to be out on the water here in sunny Southwest Florida! The fish are chewing this week both in the backwaters of Naples bay as well as offshore in Naples. Running multiple charters this week on both the Cuda and Cuda 2 yielded nice catches of both kingfish and snapper offshore, to sheepshead, trout, and redfish inshore. The cooler water temps have the fish quite active and attacking almost anything we throw at them! We have a cold front bearing down on us this week, so break out those sweatshirts and enjoy some cooler weather!
