It was a great week to be out on the water! Naples beaches were loaded with bait and birds, as well as playful pods of dolphins to enjoy both leaving and entering Gordon Pass and Naples Bay! Bottom fishing offshore this week saw some solid action catching both snapper and some line zipping Spanish mackerel as well. Inshore fishing the action was good, landing many slot redfish as well as catching a variety of other fish including snapper, snook, and ladyfish. Water temps. remain in the low to mid 80s as we have yet to have our first cold front. Happy Halloween!

Great week offshore in Naples, multiple 1/2 day charters this week yielded lots of great action on light tackle to go around. Catching both lane and mangrove snapper on the bottom bite as well as some trolling action for spanish mackerel and a couple of nice shots at some big Cuda’s. The backwater was also a lot of fun this past week. Running an eco/shelling tour to Keewaydin Island we spotted many different species of birds along with finding some beautiful shells on the beach. The weekend was a washout with tropical storm Nestor dropping off some rain and wind to Florida, but this week appears to be shaping up nicely.
Capt. Mike Naples Inshore & Offshore Fishing Charters It's been a great week of fishing in Naples, Florida. Spanish Mackerel are still all over the Naples beaches busting on bait pods, so out came the casting spoons. Those toothy critters will do some damage on soft plastics, and jigs Clark casting spoons work great, and they can’t resist! On our backwater charters this week, we played with the Spanish mackerel and jacks then we headed into the mangroves for some snook and redfish action. We found both of those and even landed a nice 17 inch trout and some sheepshead. Offshore in Naples we will start seeing the stone crab traps coming out. Hopefully it will be a great season for them.
Capt. Mike Klein Naples Inshore & Offshore Fishing Charters October is here, and with it brings welcome changes to the local weather. Cooler morning temps start to bring down the bathwater gulf temps, and the fish love it! In the last week we have seen all kinds of action up and down the beach. In our passes, we have been landing Snook, Redfish, Jacks, Ladyfish, Spanish mackerel, and even some Bluefish! With the east winds dominant the last couple weeks it has been flat calm along our beaches, and the water visibility has been excellent! Offshore we have been catching Spanish mackerel, and a few Cudas on the surface, as well as bottom fishing for Snapper and Grouper on our latest outings!
